You will only need the DBlib side if you want to use things like dbschema
which hasn't been ported to CTlib yet.
Otherwise you should be able to use the CTlib side of things with no
problems.
Alternatively, if you are on a 32bit version of SLES you can download the
Developper Version of ASE (15.0) and get all the necessary libraries and
include files. The 15.0 libs work just fine with all versions of ASE
(including Sybase SQL Server 4.9.2 !)

Subject: DBlib
Hi,
I just bought OCS-12_5 from Sybase. I installed it with their setup GUI
on
SLES 9. Now, I want sybperl. I can get sybperl-2.18 to compile with
DBLIBVS=0, but not 400 or 1000. The version of OCS-12_5 didn't come with
sybdb.h, sybfront.h or syberror.h. How do I get those to show up in
include
or do I need DBlib? Our applicationsl query an old 11.9.2 ASE.
Thanks,
~DjK
