Did you really mean "ASE" (Enterprise) here, or ASA (Anywhere)?
If the former (ASE), then yes, there are many users :-)
For ASA it's probably less common, though I've used sybperl and
DBD::Sybase with Sybase IQ, which is based on ASA, so it should work.
