This is the dbpoll() bug that exists in some versions of OpenClient
11.1.1 for Solaris (and possibly other platforms).
To fix this you need to upgrade to a later EBF of OpenClient.
However, unless you plan to use asynch programming with DBlibrary (i.e.
dbpoll() and friends) you should be fine using sybperl as is.
