I'm getting this error when i try to add charset=utf8 to the connect string:

cs_locale(CS_SYB_CHARSET, utf8) failed at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/i386-linux/DBD/Sybase.pm line 73, 
chunk 1.

any suggestions?
