Subject: "make install" to other directory
Date: Feb 18 1999 6:15PM

Hi,

How can I install Sybperl on a directory, say "/usr/local/mysybperl/lib",
other than where Perl is installed? Since I don't have write access to
our system area, where should I specify the directory that I have write
access when running "make install"?

Error Message when running "make install":
==========================================
You do not have permissions to install into
/usr/dist/pkgs/perl,v5.003/lib/site_perl/sun4-solaris at -e line 1
*** Error code 2
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `pure_site_install'

perl version and OS:
====================
Perl version: 5.003
OS: SunOS RELEASE: 5.6

Thank you.
