Subject: using perl with Sybase's open server

We have a need for a stored procedure to start a sybperl script. The
procedure would execute at a threshold point. Does anyone know of a way for
Sybase SQL server to issue a remote procedure call (or some otherway) to
execute a sybperl script? I would like to avoid writing a C program using
Open Server.
