Subject: Information from multiple Servers
Date: Jan 26 1999 12:35AM

I have information in two separate servers on spearate host that I need to
join together in a query and display back to the browser using sybperl. I
have yet to find any documentation giving an exmaple to do this. Does anyone
have any documentation and/or sample code that will allow me to join data
together from different servers via sybperl?

Example:

Host: nexTdb01
SQL Server:	nexdev01
database: vantive
login:	user1
password:	user1_pwd
table:	emp_profile
field:	emp_number
field:	emp_name

Host: nexTdb02
SQL Server:	nexdev02
database: positions
login:	user2
password:	user2_pwd
table:	postiong_id
field:	emp_number
filed:	position_status

select a.emp_number, a.emp_name, b.position_status
from [nexdev01.vantive]emp_profile a, [nexdev02.positions]postion_id b
where a.emp_number = b.emp_number

Thanks for your assitance...
