Subject: Network error whilst doing 'make test'
Date: Apr 23 1998 3:46PM

Hi,

I am trying to install Sybase and sqsh. I've downgraded from Redhat 5 to
4.2 and get a little further in the 'make test' process. Here is the
output:

Open Client Message:
Message number: LAYER = (5) ORIGIN = (3) SEVERITY = (4) NUMBER = (3)
Message String: ct_connect(): network packet layer: internal net library
error:
No driver of the requested protocol class is available
not ok 2
-- The user id/password combination may be invalid.
FAILED tests 2-22
        Failed 21/22 tests, 4.55% okay
Test returned status 255 (wstat 65280)

sqsh gives precisely the same error.

I am using the static ELF version of the CTlib. Please help.

Many TIA,
David
