You have /usr/lib or /lib in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable.
This is nearly always a mistake.
Remove /usr/lib and /lib from LD_LIBRARY_PATH and all should be fine.
(the reason this breaks is explained in the FAQ, the latest version
is available from my home page.)
