DBI is maybe a little easier to use, at the expense of some
flexibility. 

But you can also keep Sybase::DBlib or Sybase::CTlib connections
persistant, via Apache::Sybase::DBlib (or CTlib) which I think are
available from http://www.perl.com/CPAN/modules/by-module/Apache/
