Subject: Compiling Sybperl

     Perl Version:  5.001
     SYBPERL VERS:  2.00
     OS:  hpux 9.04
     SYBASE VERS :  10.02
     OPEN CLIENT :  10
     
     
     
     
     In attempting to compile sybperl, I get the following messages when 
     trying to run:
     
      make test
     
     
     /lib/dld.sl: Permission denied
     Can't load '/appls/perl/lib/perl5/hpux/auto/Sybase/CTlib/CTlib.sl' for 
     module Sy
     base::CTlib: Permission denied at /appls/perl/lib/perl5/DynaLoader.pm 
     line 128.
     
     I have made sure that the permissions on the /lib directory and on 
     dld.sl are both writable, I have even tried to do make test as root, 
     and I still get the same error messages.  The version of perl still 
     seems to work with DBlib
     
     Any advice will be appreciated.  Thank you.
