Subject: Installing Sybperl into the standard Perl hierarchy
Date: Feb 27 1996 10:25PM

As you build Sybperl (ie. when you do the "perl Makefile.PL" step) you
have to ensure that you have the correct "perl" executable in your
path (either that or you have to give the complete pathname to the
perl onto which you want to install Sybperl,
eg. "/mnts/master/solaris/bin/perl Makefile.PL").

I believe that it is within the perl executable that the Makefile.PL
finds the installation directories it will be placing Sybperl. Check
the Makefile that gets created to see what the install dirs variable
is.
