I am working on a reporting application that hits a Sybase 4.9.3
server in Sun OS. So far, I have not yet run into any problems, but
one of my colleagues has informed me that Sybase has a performance
limit regarding views that the libraries cannot return a record from
a view larger than 512 characters. Has anyone heard of this before?
I haven't gotten to the point yet where I will be doing this and it
sounds pretty hokey, but will be a serious problem if it actually
does exist.

I am using SybPerl 1.2 and Perl 5. Thank you for any information
that you can provide.

Jim.
